Some time back we brought you Hooch. His horrific life struck a chord within many as we learned of the unethical
treatment- the neglect that was inflicted on him - chained outdoors with no human contact for nearly 10 years
- he was left to fend for himself - left in a sober and lonely world. From a far- you loved him, routed for him
- for his freedom and for him to find his 'happily ever after.'
Once his chains were finally broken - freed from his abusers you rejoiced. You watched him blossom
into a warm loving creature - adored by many from north to south - east to west - America to Canada over oceans
of water to England, Ireland, & Germany. Hooch moved forward with zeal. With a bounce in his step and love in his heart he continuously finds happiness
in every moment of life.
He proudly 'Payed it Forward' by visiting a local nursing
home to provide comfort, solace, and love in an environment that can often be somber and lonely. Up and down
the halls he strolled... into residents rooms who are stricken to their beds - into the activities room to catch a glimpse
of himself in the large wall sized mirror - then off he went to make some laugh, some reminisce, or to welcome others
to touch his teddy-bear like body. Hooch's instincts told him when he was in the most vulnerable of places
- when his beautiful aura was needed to provide what we as humans could not give.
However, the inward and outward scars from
his weathered past were hidden beneath this stoic soul. Hooch yearned for human approval, compassion, and love. Those
years of neglect weathered on Hooch's bones and spine. He faces a multitude of medical illnesses - some
of which remain life threatening. However, he remains under the BEST medical care with a team
of veterinarian professionals who share our mission and views in providing the highest ethical treatment to all animals.
Together we are closely monitoring his health to ensure his comfort, happiness, & well-being.
And for Hooch's happily ever after? He obtained it over and
beyond. He relishes in all of life's offerings. He is adored, pampered, and very much loved.

into its next journey. He laid the road for many seniors to come. Because of Hooch we will continue to provide a
spiritual and peaceful haven for senior animals to retire with the dignity and grace. Our mission remains
in the forefront of our minds... to help senior animals retire in a warm, comfortable, and loving environment when they were
deprived of these necessities throughout their lives.

And for us? Well, Hooch certanly Pays it Forward every moment
he is in our lives. He makes us smile, he makes us ponder, he makes us grateful, grounded,and focused. He is a valued member
of this family and this community. It was worth the wait...
A Letter from Hooch...Hello Everyone! I wanted to send a personal letter to all of you who fought for my freedom. You
were my angels on earth- sent to protect and watch over me throughout the years. Though that part of my life is gone forever
I will never forget how all of you banded together to communicate your love for me. Even after my chains were finally broken
you continued to route for me, my happiness, and well-being. You shared sleepless nights, and days of worry on what was
to become of me and my future. You invested your love in me! Indeed- your fight paid off- good triumphed evil as I
DID find my happily ever after! I will forever remember all of you! I woof you all!
