Because of NI &Roc
The Human/Animal Bond... My lifelong desire
to make a difference for children & animals alike is how SAMA Inc. manifested. I believe an animal gives unconditional
love which helps mend a broken heart, heal open wounds, restore hope when times seem hopeless. Animals teach
us about ourselves, about life, about our relationships, in short, they teach us how to grow. They unknowingly create
a magical love. I spent countless hours advocating for those voiceless warriors.
Early on in my career I became a court liaison to speak for child and animal rights. I wholeheartedly believe animals
heal our souls and bring comfort to us when in despair. Therefore, I wanted to create a unique and powerful way to maintain
the magical bond between human and animal. In an effort to preserve this bond I set forth to aid underprivileged
senior animals by creating a spiritual and peaceful safe haven for them to retire in with the dignity and respect they deserve
as well as implement humane education workshops within our community and beyond. Therefore, SAMA, Inc. will intake geriatric
animals with special needs, terminal senior animals, and senior animals with geriatric issues that need a warm comfy place
to retire in as well as promote, protect, and educate the human/animal bond. It is my hope that the SAMA Fund will make
a difference in the lives of senior animals as well as educate the next generation of their responsibility to care for and
love all animals.
Because of Ni & Roc- At first glance my two Neapolitan mastiff / pit mutts radiated the same desire
to be loved that I often saw with the children I worked with day in and day out. One had an independent “mischievousness”
BEAMING in his big brown eyes, expressing his strength and his love for life; the other standing alone and shaking under
a table with “fright” radiating from her sad, scared, and timid self, yearning
to be rescued from her bouncy litter mates and horrific living environment. I knew they not only needed one another,
but I, too, needed them both to put their much different characteristics,
offerings, and needs into my life to evolve and understand a different kind of compassion, love, care, devotion, and
loyalty. For the next 13 years I continued to work with underprivileged children by teaching humane education
with Ni-Ni & Rocky by my side. It was through Ni-Ni and Rocky's golden years that I obtained a different
kind of love while witnessing an unexplainable bravery as they fought through their illnesses with remarkable
strength. I am forever blessed to have spent 13 years with these two creatures. Knowing them was to love in a deep, powerful, and magical way. Their love and respect for
the human/animal bond was exhibited everyday in their grand smiles and beautiful spirits. Ni-Ni and Rocky showed
me the meaning of living life to the fullest while exhibiting continual and unconditional love without pause. Most importantly,
Ni-Ni & Rocky truly taught me the significance of the deep bond between human and animal. I will always honor them
and the gifts they brought into my life. It is through them, the love I possess for them, and my desire to help children
and animals alike that SAMA, Inc. was established.
