Angel's In Waiting
The animals in our Angels in
Waiting Program were pulled from various shelters throughout the United States wherein help manage, extend, or treat
various geriatric illnesses by use of homeopathic, or other Easter and Western medicines. SAMA does not support invasive surgeries, but rather provide a
continued quality of life each of seniors can afford though PAWSPICE care. It
is our hope that our work helps encourage folks who are scouring a shelter for a lifetime companion stop and look at the wistful
eyes of a senior animal who may be waiting for his chance to go home and are willing to open thier hearts and give him
a second chance at love.

Dear Humans~ my name is Jessie. I am a victim of secondhand smoke. I am suffering with an incurable condition
called chronic bronchitis due to permanent lung damage from living with humans who smoked around me. I suffer with a chronic
bronchiole cough, respiratory infection, asthmatic episodes which are making it extremely difficult for me to breathe. I will
never fully recover as the damage to my lungs is irreversible; I will suffer with this discomfort for all of my days. I must
be very careful to not over exhort myself when I am enjoying the happy dance, playing ball, going for walks, or sun bathing
in summer months. I am hoping my story will inspire you to educate others on the dangers and of secondhand smoke and the harm
it causes. Every time a human smokes a cigarette around their four legged companion-it means we are smoking as well. Please
quit- if not for you- do it for us!
Lizzie

Much publicized 15 year old Lizzie was surrendered to New York City’s High Kill Shelter~ and pulled
to safety just moments before her scheduled euthanasia to join us at Hooch’s Haven. The neglect Lizzie was subjected to result in a deep yearning for human attention and so part of Lizzie’s rehabilitation consisted of her gaining an understanding that our love and attention
can be shared among her pack-mates, and so after some much needed one on one time to nurture Lizzie’s tangled spirit she has officially transitioned into her pack- she is living among her k9 companions, relaxing, and
taking comfort in all of life’s offerings. We spend our days
keeping Lizzie comfortable and warm as she too is facing a multitude of medical issues all of which are being managed through
SAMA’s traditional holistic remedies~ in conjunction with
exercising our unwavering philosophies of positive energy transcends to a positive aura~ mind, body, and spirit working together.
Lizzie has completed our pack, home, and hearts.
Mikey D~ Found wondering
the street of NYC alone, scared, cold, and frail Mikey D was turned in to NYC Manhattan Center by the 41st precinct- barely
able to hold his listless emaciated body Mikey D was near death. The moment we were notified of Mikey D- without pause
we made arrangements to have him transported to Hooch's Haven. After two weeks of much rest and rehabilitation Mikey D is
on his way to a blissful life. We anticipate a 6- 8 week rehabilitation time for Mikey D. Updates to follow.
