  Educate Don’t Discriminate!

Humane Education is Everyones Responsibility!

Empower Yourself! Remain Educated! Stay Informed!
xx
Humane Education is about learning to care for the animals in our homes and communities. It is about fostering kindness, respect and empathy for both human and nonhuman animals, and looking after the environment and its diverse habitats.  The goal of humane education is to create a culture of empathy and caring by stimulating students' moral development and sense of responsibility. The end goal of humane education is to create a more compassionate and responsible society.

WHY SHOULD YOU CARE? x
Ø Because it’s the right thing to do
Ø Because cruelty to animals is illegal
Ø And because people who harm animals may also harm people
Ø  Stopping cruelty to animals helps everyone

Dunbar's Corner~
Educating Paws Across World~
In honor of a faithful friend named Dunbar

Dunbar's Corner is a resource guide for educators, rescuers, and for the youth in our community and beyond to obtain factual information which can be used to develop independent humane education workshops in their own classroom or communities. It is our hope this program will help educate learners of all ages that animals are living creatures that have feelings that depend on humans for empathy and kindness.

"Broken Chains" Hooch's Story

  • "Broken Chains" Hooch's Story is a TRUE & inspiring story of a courageous dog that suffered in silence for nearly 10 years. A great recourse for educators to teach the harms and dangers that come from continuous chaining of a dog.

Operation
PAWS 4 PEACE
Inspired by an American Soldier

OPERATIONPAWS.jpg

After a recent conversation an Afghanistan Veteran in the War on Terror we learned of another group of heroes who does not get as much recognition as they rightfully should~ our Military Working Dogs~ our K-9 HEROES. They go into combat zones ~ do their part to help in an array of tasks for the Army not to mention provide loving companionship to many of our soldiers when deployed~ away from family often for one year to 15 months at a time.

SAMA Inc. will recognize these unsung heroes through our PAWS4PEACE campaign.

We are collecting nonperishable items to send to Afghanistan in support of their efforts. We have a collection drop box at Pet Supplies PlusUniversity Plaza in Albany, NY to collect bedding, cookies, bones, soft treats, nyla bones, kongs, tennis balls and any other appropriate toys.

All items collected on this wish list will be sent to 101st Airborne Division in Afghanistan once a month.

If you interested on donating to OPERATION PAWS4PEACE please contact me directly at mlng@samafund.org
